  4. Also click the Stroke (i.e. outline) tab to make sure that no stroke is set

5. Now draw another circle

  1. You should remember how to do this from step 3
  2. Set the Width and Height to 58x58
  3. ctrl + shift + F and give it a white stroke

  3. ctrl + shift + T brings up the font dialogue box.
  4. I used a 48pt Bitstream Charter bold but feel free to use a different font.

10. Dont like blue?

Select the big background circle by clicking on it. Now click on whatever colour you want from the palette at the bottom. Alternatively, ctrl + shift + F and change it manually

Hint: Select the circle then click any colour in the palette at the bottom of the screen to change to that colour. I use the very nice Tango theme - click the small arrow at the far left of the palette to choose different ones.

Hint: To save your icon as a png ctrl + shift + E calls up the export dialogue box.
